Flexible Airbnb Cancellation Policy
The Flexible policy is the most lenient option for guests. They can cancel a reservation and receive a full refund at least 24 hours before check-in and will only be charged for the first night’s stay plus the Airbnb service fee if they cancel less than 24 hours before check-in. Also, if the guest decides to cancel their stay after arriving, they are eligible for a full refund of any remaining nights.
Moderate Airbnb Cancellation Policy
The Moderate Cancellation Policy provides more protection for hosts while ensuring guests with the option to cancel their reservation at any time in advance and receive a full refund. Under this policy, guests will receive a full refund if they cancel their booking at least five days prior to check-in. Those that choose to cancel within five days of their check-in date will only receive a 50 percent refund.
Strict Airbnb Cancellation Policy
Airbnb’s strict cancellation policy states that guests may be entitled to a 50% refund if they cancel at least seven days before their reservation date. Guests can also receive a refund of 75% if they cancel within 48 hours of booking and 14 days before the check-in date.
Long-term Airbnb Cancellation Policy
This cancellation policy applies to all reservations that are 28 nights or longer. You need to give a 30-day notice of cancellation to receive a full refund. If you cancel within 30 days of your check-in date, you will still need to pay the first month’s reservation cost. Additionally, if you decide to check out early during your stay, you will have to pay for 30 days following the date of the cancellation or up to the end date of the original reservation.
Super Strict 30 Days Airbnb Cancellation Policy
A 50% refund is given if the guest cancels a reservation 30 days or more before check-in. If the guest compensates when there are fewer than 30 days left until check-in, they forfeit the accommodation fees. There is no refund at all if the guest decides to cancel after checking in.
